Going Home Today to Celebrate Her Birthday

Mrs. Emma Harper came to University Nursing & Rehab on May 11, 2017 after a fall. Even though she has endured a few setbacks Mrs. Harper is going home today, a day before her 83rd birthday. When asked about her experience with therapy Mrs. Harper stated “At first it was tough.  I felt like I had to start all over again, I couldn’t walk or remember things.  Janet took charge, but she didn’t hurry me. She allowed me to go at my own pace. She is the reason I got better.” Mrs. Harper was able to pass her driving test three days ago and feels that the therapy staff contributed to that success. When asked what is the first thing she will do when she gets home Mrs. Harper stated “I am getting my hair done.” She said she was looking forward to celebrating her birthday with family on  Saturday and ordering a prime rib.
